Planning a trip they say is fun. But not when you're watching Rakhi ka Swayamvar at the same time. Then all the fun comes from watching Rakhi and no planning gets done.

Which is what happened Sunday afternoon when me and the chaps met up. Blame it on Rakhi because as things stand now nobody has any idea where we're gonna go, what we're gonna do, and more importantly where we're gonna stay. Some very surprised looks were shot back at me when I mentioned the word reservation. They were like - OMG, he's lost it! Dude we can pitch our tent on the side of the road if there's nowhere to sleep! What are you, a girl??

Anyway the plan, if you can call it that, is to go South. Problem is we're all Northerners, and the North is all we know. So if any of you know South Goa well please suggest some good places. The guys all seem to be members of the 'we'll see when we get there' club, but not me. I need to know where I'm going.

As for Rakhi and her Swayamvar, how much do you reckon madam is getting paid to do this shit? If the ratings are anything to go by, I'd say her years of stuggle will soon come to an end.

ROFL moment of the day was when that moron from Nagpur kept asking her all those questions about her past 'n stuff (who she's screwed to be exact). At which our man Ally goes: Dude only thing left now is for him to check her hymen!

Goin' country with the Bellamy Brothers. This one called Old Hippie, which is what I think I'm slowly turning into.

South Goa? Palolem beach, certainly. Ask Jason Bourne. Agonda beach is quite close too.

And yeah, Bhakti Kutir is a neat place there (if you don't want to opt for the shacks, that is).

benaulim in the south gets my vote. anthy's is the best shack on the beach. but chances are they are closed.

check with furtados. they're bang on the beach. the vibe is like a shack...actually the vibe is like they don't care about business! but they have some permanent structures/rooms. and benaulim is easy.

Go to cafe del mar in palolem. Basic shacks. Dreamcatcher is really nice and quiet.

But my favorite South spot is Agonda, very small places there so better to stay somewhere else if you insist on reservations and visit the beach. Or just land up in Agonda and find something. Try www.agondabeach.com. Kickass place

It's been 5 years since i last went to Goa. I had an amazing time in Baga and Calangute. I said it before and I'll say it again: it was the most perfect, relaxing, enjoyable vacation. And i'm ready to go back when Goa beckons!

Sorry couldn't be much of help... but have fun, take a ridiculous amount of photos and enjoy, SwB.

Ms.Sawant.. its easier to figure out engineering mechanics than understand her!
But I gotto admit.. it takes guts to go fer a online marriage market. Here I am, still not ready to create a matrimonial profile :)

I was just wondering, pls pls excuse this flight of imagination..

What if SwB was one of the contestants on that show..(oops ..I just fell off my chair ..lol)

Thanks a lot guys. Will give Agonda & Benaulim a try. Palolem I know.

@LLG: Looks like you spent quite some time in the "holy land" while you were here ;)

@maan: I don't think I'd have made it past the preliminaries. I'm not the wooing type.

I am a Northerner too. Vegetate over pork chilly at baga avery February.

Went to South in the rains after ages to fulfil the little woman's dreams to stay in one of the fancy resorts there. Not sure if that's what you are looking for
